After 23 years as a self-professed nerd, I have decided it’s time to care about Fashion and to “define my personal style.”
It all began when I realized I’ve been working out about 4 days a week for the past couple months and lost a total of 5 pounds. I tone up nicely, but I will always be “curvy”. So, I should dress accordingly.
I researched lots of websites discussing fashion for my body type and decided upon a variety of things, like I look good in V- and boat-necklines, knits, skirts… I’m also draw to the 1950’s style party dress with cap sleeves, a small waist, and A-line skirt. Pearls and pumps are a plus.
From there, I ventured into color theory. You’d think, as an artist, I’d have a fairly clear idea of which colors I look well in, but you’d be wrong. I wore blacks and whites and browns and reds and light pinks… And guess what! I’m an Autumn! I don’t look good in any of those colors! I look great in dark blues, plum, teal, and (strangely) burnt orange.
Today is Day 3 of the Fashion Revolution, and so far, it’s been a blast. I’m planning on maintaining the obsession for another couple months and another couple hundred dollars, and when the dust settles, we’ll see Who I Am.

p.s. — I would love to post pictures as this adventure unfolds, but I don’t have a camera and haven’t figured out how to download pics from my phone.
None of the girls in your house have a digital camera?? I find that very hard to believe.
